Georgian Association
The Georgian Association here at St. George’s is made up of a wonderful group of parent volunteers who organise special events, treats and activities for our pupils and families throughout the school year. In doing so, the GA raises funds to support exciting school projects and activities that further enhance the school experience for our children.
Membership of the GA is informal and open to anyone connected to the school, including parents of current or past pupils, teachers or friends of the school. The group strives to work with the School to provide ever-improving facilities through activities based on our School values of Kindness, Resilience, Achievement and Responsibility.
New families meet the GA very quickly when they host our ‘New Families Welcome Tea’ event for new joiners, and you will hear about special GA activities throughout the school year through your Class Rep and the weekly Bulletin. Activities have included Christmas and Easter parties, special treats on beach days and sponsored visits from expert speakers to complement the curriculum such as authors and artists. The GA have also subsidised School trips, purchased play equipment and raised a significant amount of money for charitable causes.
Joining the GA is a wonderful way to meet other parents and contribute in a very real way to the wellbeing and enrichment aspects of your child’s School.
The Georgian Association is at its strongest with lots of volunteers to add fresh ideas and lighten the load. Our friendly GA committee are always happy to welcome new members.
