St George’s Celebrates Outstanding ISI Inspection Report

Posted: July 15, 2026

We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection and to publish the full inspection report for our school community.

Read the full ISI Inspection Report here.

The ISI inspection process is a detailed, rigorous and highly respected evaluation of independent schools, benchmarked against standards across the UK and British Overseas Territories. The findings represent a significant achievement for St George’s and provide independent recognition of the quality of education, care and opportunities offered to our pupils.

The summary findings confirm that St George’s exceeded the required standards in the majority of areas inspected and met the standards in all remaining areas. In other words, the school met or surpassed every standard against which it was assessed.

The report highlights a wide range of strengths across the school, including:

  • A broad and ambitious curriculum
  • Pupil achievement that is significantly above UK national standards
  • High-quality teaching and learning
  • A rich programme of enrichment and extracurricular opportunities
  • Exceptional pupil behaviour
  • Outstanding pastoral care and wellbeing provision
  • Excellent Early Years education
  • Exemplary safeguarding practices
  • Strong and effective leadership focused on continuous improvement

Particularly pleasing was the recognition of the distinctive culture and atmosphere that make St George’s such a special place to learn and grow. Inspectors noted the school’s commitment to going above and beyond for its pupils and recognised the positive environment that supports children to flourish both academically and personally.

The report also reflects the dedication and professionalism of our staff, the enthusiasm and character of our pupils, and the strong partnership we enjoy with our families. Feedback gathered through surveys of parents, staff and pupils was exceptionally positive and contributed to inspectors’ assessment of the school community.

Since January 2025, ISI inspection reports no longer include overall single-word judgements such as Excellent, Good or Requires Improvement. However, the detailed findings throughout the report provide clear evidence of the high standards being achieved at St George’s and the exceptional quality of education and care provided to our pupils.

This report reflects the vision, ambition and commitment that underpin every aspect of school life. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to our staff, pupils, parents and governors for the part they have played in helping St George’s continue to thrive.

We invite you to read the full inspection report and celebrate this outstanding recognition with us as we continue to build on our success and provide the very best educational experience for every child.
