Blessed with 35-acres of space, pupils experience a wide variety of facilities at St George's.

At St George’s, our facilities reflect our ethos of nurturing, excellence, creativity and community. We believe that every space should inspire learning, foster confidence and encourage pupils to thrive academically, socially and personally. From historic buildings to modern learning environments, each area of our school grounds is designed to support a well-rounded education and a love of curiosity and discovery.

Our grounds also provide the perfect terrain for cross-country and other sporting events, as well as our unique Forest School experience with trained leaders. Come rain or shine, the children are able to be physically active and develop their skills.

La Hague Manor – Main House

The historic Manor House is the heart of St George’s, blending tradition with modern learning spaces. Here, pupils experience a warm, nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Sports Hall

Our spacious Sports Hall provides a safe, inclusive setting for physical education and team sports. It promotes resilience, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle – key elements of our commitment to developing well-rounded individuals.

Performing Arts Studio

Opened in 2025, the Performing Arts Studio on the mezzanine level of the Sports Hall is a hub for creativity and self-expression. Equipped with professional lighting and sound, and a Harlequin sprung dance floor, it inspires confidence and celebrates the arts as part of a balanced education.

Sports Fields & Grandstand

Expansive fields and a welcoming grandstand create opportunities for sport, competition and community spirit. These spaces reflect our belief in teamwork, perseverance and celebrating success together.

Walled Garden

We are extremely fortunate to provide a secure, vibrant outdoor space in our Victorian walled garden, designed for exploration and imaginative play for our Nursery, Pre-School and Reception children. It embodies our ethos of learning through discovery, encouraging confidence and joy in every child.

Swimming Pool

Our heated indoor pool ensures pupils develop essential life skills in a safe, supportive environment. Swimming lessons and water-based competitions build confidence and resilience, aligning with our commitment to holistic education.

DT Workshop & Science Lab

Specialist facilities for senior pupils, including a science lab and design and technology workshop, foster innovation and problem-solving. These spaces reflect our dedication to academic excellence and preparing pupils for the future.

Front Lawn

An iconic green space in the heart of our gounds, ideal for outdoor assemblies, informal play and events. It represents our sense of community and the importance of shared experiences.

Forest School

Learning in the fresh air brings education to life at St George’s. Our Forest School provides a stimulating outdoor classroom where children explore, discover and learn through hands-on experiences in nature. Through purposeful play and practical activities, pupils develop creativity, confidence and independence, while building a strong connection to the natural world. Forest School nurtures environmental awareness, resilience and teamwork, inspiring a lifelong respect for nature and enriching learning across the curriculum.

Our woodland area offers further opportunities for Forest School activities and outdoor exploration. It nurtures resilience, curiosity, and respect for the natural world.

Orchard

Our on-site orchard is a calm and purposeful space where pupils learn first-hand about sustainability, biodiversity and caring for the environment. Children take responsibility for nurturing the orchard throughout the seasons, developing a deep appreciation for nature and where food comes from. Harvested produce is used in our school kitchen, helping pupils see the journey from orchard to table and reinforcing our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living.
