School days are precious. They are the foundations on which our future lives are built: a time when opinions are formed, passions awakened, friendships made, and characters shaped.

As a Preparatory School, we fundamentally believe in the importance of protecting the magic of childhood. We are blessed to be able to offer our children 35-acres of stunning woodland and gardens in which they can learn, laugh, explore, make mistakes and grow as individuals.

St George’s has an enviable reputation for providing outstanding guidance and pastoral care. Small class sizes, coupled with our nurturing ethos, and an emphasis on strong relationships between pupils, parents and staff, ensure that our sense of togetherness, community and extensive support is at the forefront of what defines our very special culture. This is carefully and deliberately balanced alongside a culture of high expectations and a rich and diverse curriculum that provides a launchpad for life. It is vital that our children are instilled with a love of learning, a sense of curiosity and imagination, as well as the skills to be resilient, ambitious and adaptable to an ever-changing world.

St George’s is based in a beautiful 18th Century Manor House, whilst our Nursery and Pre-School are within our unique walled garden. We are extremely proud that our pupils flourish in this special place, where every experience promotes self-esteem, personal development, excellence and successful outcomes.

Our Preparatory experience has a strong track record that is borne out of not only high levels of academic achievement, but also the fine young people our pupils become: responsible, kind and adventurous, with a strong moral compass that will guide them through their next stages as they navigate life’s twists and turns. These are the qualities we cherish and what a ‘St Georgian’ is known and admired for representing.

Choosing the right school for your child is the most important decision you will ever make, and the best investment in their future.

If you are looking for an environment that aims to capture the atmosphere, values and traditions of a bygone era, where you can breathe a sigh of relief as we decompress many of life’s stresses and strains, whilst delivering a cutting-edge learning experience, where students can embrace the adventure of childhood… St George’s could be the school for your family.

If you have not yet taken the opportunity to visit us, please come and take a look to enable you to feel and truly understand what makes St George’s really special.
